How your targets were set
Each school's 2029-30 target is its share of the district target. The district's planned change is shared out with an equity weight: a school further behind is asked to move further, so gaps close rather than every school improving by the same amount. Weighted by students, the school targets add back up to the district target exactly.
Gap measures are set proportionally: every school cuts its own gap by the same share the district committed to. They do not roll up, because a district gap is not an average of school gaps.
The checkpoint is where a straight path from baseline to target puts the school after year two. Projectionsextend the school's four-year trend to 2029-30 with an 80% range. They are a signal for planning conversations, not a verdict on staff. Schools are compared with their own targets, never ranked against each other.
